AGAINST THE ODDS

Our weekly college football picks ATS

Last week the “crazy idea” games were winners for us, the locks were not. This week, we hope that is different.

Last week 4-4

Season 17-13-1

Arizona @ Utah(-13.5) – Kevin Sumlin, somehow, has made Arizona worse. Utah rolls 38-17

Florida(-7.5) @ Vandy – Florida is coming off of a huge win against LSU. Expect this to be somewhat of a letdown game for the Gators, but not down enough for the Dores. Gators 28, Vandy 13

Tennessee (+16.5) @ Auburn – This one is a harder game to pick. Does the Auburn defense that only allowed 102 yards rushing against Washington show up? Or the defense that allowed 349 yards rushing, just one week ago, to Mississippi State? Add to that, Tennessee has had 2 weeks to prepare, and the Vols cover. Auburn 24, Vols 13

Louisville @ Boston College(-13.5) – If Aj Dillon plays for BC in this game, the Eagles roll. Even if he doesn’t, BC 30, L’ville 10

Pitt @ Notre Dame(Over 54)– I like the over in this game. Frankly, the fighting Irish might score 54 by themselves. Notre Dame 42, Pitt 17

UGA @ LSU(+7.5)- Stay with me here. Yes, LSU just lost to Florida by 8, and Florida is no Georgia….yet. Jake Fromm, as a starter for the Dawgs, is 3-2 ATS on the road. The Tigers , however, are 6-2 ATS at home under Ed Orgeron. This is the best defense Georgia will see to date. Georgia 23, LSU 17

Central Florida(-5) @ Memphis– Memphis is coming off of a loss to Tulane, 40-24, UCF hasn’t lost since December 17th 2016. The last time these 2 teams met, Memphis gave UCF all they wanted in a double overtime thriller. However, Riley Ferguson and Anthony Miller aren’t suiting up for the Tigers. UCF 42, Memphis 23

West Virginia @ Iowa State (over 56) – I am probably taking the bait here, but I think there is no way this game stays under 56. Both teams are in the top 20, in the country, in completion percentage. Iowa State’s pass defense isn’t in the top half of the country statistically. Not a good sign vs WVU. WVU 48, Iowa St 27
