Kendal Briles will interview today for the opening of offensive coordinator at Tennessee today, according to Bruce Feldman of FOX.
Briles, who is currently the offensive coordinator at Houston, is the son of former Baylor head coach, Art Briles. His connection with his father has caused some fans to think negative about him, but if given the opportunity, the Vols should act fast on Briles. Kendal is one of , if not the best, young offensive minds in football today. Also, he is a great recruiter, winning BIG 12 recruiter of the year in 2015.
His offenses by year:
2015 Baylor: 48.1 points p/g (1st in NCAA), 616.2 yards p/g (1st NCAA)
2016 Baylor: 34.6 points p/g (35th in NCAA), 522.7 yards p/g (6th NCAA)
2017 Florida Atlantic: 40.6 points p/g (8th in NCAA), 498.2 yards p/g (9th NCAA)
2018 Houston: 46.4 points p/g (4th NCAA), 528.3 yards p/g (6th NCAA)
